Forest School Skills Training
This is a two-day immersive, hands-on training program designed for educators, parents, and anyone interested in facilitating meaningful outdoor learning experiences. Rooted in the philosophy of forest school and experiential learning, this training covers Unit 2 of the accredited International Forest School Leader Award, focusing on the essential practical skills required to confidently lead forest school sessions.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in key areas such as fire-making, knot tying, shelter building, and safe tool use, while learning how to guide children through these activities in a supportive and engaging way. During the training, participants will have the opportunity to practice these skills on-site and gather evidence to support their Unit 2 requirements.
Those enrolled in the full accredited program can use this training toward their certification, while participants who are not registered for the accredited program are also welcome to attend and benefit from the full experience—gaining practical knowledge and skills that can be applied in their daily lives or within their own educational settings.
Led by Sherin, a therapeutic Forest School leader and pioneer in the region, this program blends practical knowledge, skill development, and a heart-centered approach to create a truly empowering learning experience.
