HELLO! HOLA!مرحباً

I am Sherin, mother of two beautiful children and founder of Natura Tribe, The Nature Fair, and The Nature Escapes, as well as the designer of the True Forest School at Al Fanar School.

I created Natura Tribe after noticing my own children choosing screens over outdoor play, especially after COVID. I knew something had to change. Just as my little one proudly calls herself a “nature protector,” I see myself as a nature keeper. Natura Tribe was created to help families disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with the earth—inviting children and adults alike to fall in love with nature again.

I’ve always believed deeply in nature-inspired play. I grew up climbing trees, collecting shells and stones, and using grass and flowers to bring my imaginary worlds to life. I truly believe nature has the power to heal us—it’s where we belong, and where we grow stronger and healthier. By helping children reconnect with nature from a young age, we’re not only nurturing their well-being, but also inspiring them to become future caretakers of the Earth.

I am a fully qualified Forest School Leader, certified by Forest Schools Education with an International Open Awards Level 3. I am also a Therapeutic Forest School Practitioner supporting children with additional needs, a trained Woodcraft Practitioner specializing in adult wellbeing, a certified Green Educator through Green School Bali, a kids’ yoga and mindfulness teacher, licensed beekeeper, Permaculture Designer, and trained in outdoor first aid.

My approach blends deep nature connection with safety, creativity, and care. I’m happiest outdoors—whether identifying trees, making natural cordage, or carving wood. Having travelled to nearly 50 countries, many of the experiences at Natura Tribe are inspired by global nature practices and a heartfelt mission to help people reconnect with the Earth.

In my day-to-day work, I lead, manage, design, and run all Natura Tribe programs and activities. I hold the core vision for Nature Escapes, direct the Nature Fair festivals and events, and train educators, parents, and aspiring forest school leaders in nature-based learning and outdoor education.

I’m deeply passionate about designing nature spaces that help people reconnect with the natural world. I love creating meaningful experiences that connect families with nature—using whatever nature is available around us to inspire wonder, belonging, and connection.

When I’m not taking care of my children or leading sessions at Natura Tribe, you’ll usually find me handcrafting natural, non-toxic play resources for little ones—from plant-based playdough and pretend potions to nature stamps, play wands, mud kitchen tools, and sensory play accessories. I also love gardening and caring for my animals, spending as much time outdoors as possible.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about my dream job. I look forward to welcoming you into our tribe.

Kind thoughts, kind words, and a kind heart always!

Namaste,

Sherin.
